Effect Of Gonadoreline Administration On Blood Progesterone, Oestradiol 17\Beta Concentrationand Some Fertility Parameters In Angora Goats, Erol Alaçam, Bülent Güven, Ali Ayar, Erdal Saban

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

Various fertility parameters, plasma progesterone and oestradiol 17\beta ?concentrations were investigated in Angora Goats receiving gonadoreline immediately or on 12th day after breeding . A total 48 cyclic , pluriparous Angora Goats, 2-5 years of age were divided into 3 groups. The first group received 100 µg gonadorelin immediately after breeding. The second group received 100 µg gonadoreline on the 12th day after breeding and the third group receiving no injection served as the control. Jugular blood samples were collected from all goats during the days 13 to 16 after breeding and plasma progesterone and oestradiol 17\beta?levels were determined by …

The aim of this study was to investigate the relations of the serum zinc and the Vitamin A, \beta-carotene concentrations depend on physiological conditions and seasonal effects in Angora Goats raised in Lalahan Livestock Research Institute. Healthy, 2-years old Angora Goats (n = 26) were used in this study. The blood samples were collected four times through the year to cover the whole seasons. Vitamin A, \beta-carotene and zinc concentrations of serum samples were measured. The highest serum b-carotene concentrations (6.63 ± 0.76 \mug/dl) were found in samples taken in the summer and the lowest concentrations (1.17 ± 0.36 \mug/dl) …
