Background: Each year 124.9 per 100,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide (National Cancer Institute, n.d.). While it is a serious diagnosis, with modern screening and early detection, survivorship is higher than ever before. The current five-year survival rate for women diagnosed with cancer worldwide is 89.7% (National Cancer Institute, n.d.). The emphasis of this literature review is to address the perceived quality of life of this population.
