Nurses have been identified as having the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct and lead research studies. An educational foundation in research regulations, study management, and patient interactions would enable a registered nurse (RN) study coordinator to represent the nursing profession well through skills acquired to perform the job with efficiency and confidence.
