Medical knowledge and technology are rapidly evolving. Nurses need to continuously adapt their practice to provide the best care for their patients and to meet the financial incentives being applied to hospitals. The need for continuous nursing education is apparent since healthcare continues to advance. A project to the develop an alternative method of continuing nursing education for hospital nurses called "bus stop education" was designed to optimize the retention of new knowledge by addressing the needs of the adult learner.
