The research provided was to understand a rare, life-threatening condition that occurs in pregnant women or recently postpartum women. The topic searched was HELLP Syndrome, an acronym for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver Enzymes, and Low Platelets. This syndrome is named this due to the underlying conditions in women who experience this disorder. Women can recover from HELLP Syndrome if detected early and treated appropriately, but symptoms are vague and difficult to diagnose.
