Background: Injury to the musculoskeletal system or the human body's ability to move is known as a musculoskeletal disorder (i.e. muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, discs, blood vessels, etc.). Firefighting is a physically hard and dangerous job. Firefighters carry out emergencies and prevent fire and respond to disaster. Workers who deal with fireworks often have musculoskeletal disorders. Sit to stand (STS) is the basic mobility related to the quality of life. Older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) have a movement pattern change in motor function. Background: Foot orthoses and lower extremity exercises have been widely recommended to improve medial longitudinal arch (MLA) height in adults with flexible flatfoot. However, there is little evidence to guide the choice between foot orthoses or lower extremity exercises. Objectives: This study comprised two separate studies. Study 1 aimed to establish the more effective exercise protocol by comparing the MLA height in groups performing foot exercises with and without gluteus medius (GMed) muscle strengthening exercise. Aging workers has been linked with high prevalence of both musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Health status has a significant impact on work ability. This study compared work ability, using the Work Ability Index (WAI), among aging office workers with and without MSDs and NCDs and determined factors associated with WAI scores. A cross-sectional study was conducted among office workers aged between 45-60 years. An online questionnaire was adopted to collect data. Over the last decades, the effectiveness of robot-assisted gait training devices has been extensively studied. Welwalk® has been developed to support ambulatory functions in stroke patients based on motor learning theory. Objective: To investigate the effects of Welwalk® plus physiotherapy versus physiotherapy alone, in improving ambulatory function in subacute stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods: The study was an assessor-blinded, randomized controlled trial. Twenty-six subacute stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomized and allocated into either the Welwalk group or control. The purpose of this study was to investigate the associations of age, anthropometric characteristics and lower extremity strength with the Multi-Directional React Test (MDRT). Sixty children with typical development, aged 7 to 12 years old, were categorized into each age group. Pearson correlation coefficient and Spearman rank correlation coefficient were conducted to examine the relationship between interesting variables (age, anthropometric characteristics and lower extremity strength) and the reach distances in forward, backward, leftward and rightward directions. Background: The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System-29 (PROMIS-29) questionnaire assesses 7 health related quality of life domains. However, research to evaluate the responsiveness and minimal clinically important differences (MCIDs) of the PROMIS-29 scores in patients with chronic low back pain (cLBP) is limited. Purpose: To evaluate responsiveness and estimate the MCIDs for PROMIS-29 scales in patients with cLBP. Method: One hundred and eighty-three participants with cLBP took part in the study. Background and rationale: Since the plantar fascia and the Achilles tendon are anatomically connected, it is therefore plausible that stretching of both structures simultaneously will result in a better outcome. Methods: Fifty participants aged 40-60 years with a history of plantar heel pain greater than one month were recruited. They were randomly assigned into two groups. Objective: To cross-culturally adapt the University of Washington Pain related Self-Efficacy Scale (UW-PRSE6) into Thai and evaluate its psychometric properties. Methods: The original UW- PRSE6 was cross-culturally adapted using the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy translation methodology. 241 individuals with chronic low back pain completed the Thai version of UW-PRSE6 (T-UW-PRSE6), Thai Fear Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire (T-FABQ), and Thai Medical Outcome Study Short-Form 36 (T-SF-36). 241 participants completed the T-UW-PRSE6 and again after 7-days interval. 152 participants rated their overall condition as having little to no change at the second assessment. Abstract Purpose To culturally adapt the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System-29 into Thai (T-PROMIS-29) and evaluate the reliability and validity of the culturally adapted questionnaire. Methods The translation was performed using the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy (FACIT) translation guidelines. Internal consistency and test-retest reliability at a 1-week interval for the translated measure were computed. Construct validity was evaluated by computing correlations between the T-PROMIS-29 scores and selected SF-36 and Fear Avoidance Belief Questionnaire (FABQ) scale scores for both convergent and discriminant validity. The aim of study is to investigate the biomechanical pattern of sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit movement in children aged 4 to 12 years and young adults. Seventy-six participants were separated into 4 groups as following: (1) 18 children aged 4-6 years; (2) 19 children aged 7-9 years; (3) 20 children aged 10-12 years; (4) 19 adults aged 18-25 years. All participants performed their preferred pattern of sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit movement. The results showed that two patterns of sit-to-stand movement were found including sit-to-stand with and without feet moving backward. The aims of this study were 1) to investigate the intra-rater reliability, inter-rater reliability and concurrent validity of the four square step test with foam (FSST+foam) and 2) to compare the four square step test (FSST) and the FSST+foam in their accuracy for discriminating among faller elderly, non-faller elderly, and adults. Twelve participants (4 each group) were assessed by the FSST, FSST+foam, timed up and go test (TUG) and five times sit to stand test (FTSST). Etiology of plantar fasciitis among novice conscripts is multifactorial. The combination of all potential factors should be included for multivariate analysis to determine the significant predictors. The present study aimed to identify the intrinsic predictors of plantar fasciitis among novice conscripts. Two hundred and seventy healthy male conscripts who were without lower back or lower extremity pain prior to the commencement of military training were participated in this study. Intrinsic predictors which included individual, anatomical, and biomechanical variables were assessed at baseline.
