Purpose {What): Research has shown a correlation between stress and job burnout. The Minute Project was developed as a simple tool for caregivers to reduce stress. Improving Emergency Department Belongings Inventory Electronic Medical Record Documentation Rates Background: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) education and training for RNs should be multifaceted and targeted to the RN clinical workflow. Input from direct care RNs is essential to ensure EMR education is relevant and effective. Shared Governance at a community hospital identified quality and safety concerns among inpatient RNs. RNs reported that belongings inventories were not consistently documented in the EMR for Emergency Department (ED) admissions. Infusion Nurses’ Personal Protective Equipment Use While Handling Chemotherapy Drugs Purpose: To describe perceived barriers, perceived risks, interpersonal influence (modeling and norms), perceived conflict of interest, and organizational influences and select demographics related to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use for out-patient, oncology infusion nurses. Background: The proper use of PPE should be common practice among nurses who administer chemotherapy. However, despite training and education, many studies have demonstrated that infusion nurses’ PPE adherence is as low as 50%. Background: In the United States 700,000 to 1,000,000 people fall in the hospital annually, 1/3 result in injury. One single fall averages $14,000, resulting in an increase in hospital length of stay and burden on hospital budget. In St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, from calendar year 2019 to 2020, there was an increase in falls from 178 to 185 falls, despite the use of a telesitter. At time of data collection, 12 telesitter cameras were initiated after a fall. An investigation was deemed necessary to determine the cause of the increase and the factors related to patient falls.

Moral Injury (MI) was defined by Jonathan Shay in 1994 as committing acts that betray one’s moral compass in high-stakes situations, while under the authority of another, that severely affect one’s well-being. MI was measured solely in the military prior to the COVID pandemic.

1.Explore the relationship between moral injury (MI) and perceived work performance in hospital nurses following the pandemic surges. 2. Determine relationships between MI and select participant demographics and between work performance and select demographics.

Nursing leaders at acute care hospitals often lack knowledge of how best to support nurses who wish to engage in nursing research and evidence-based practice. Inclusion of the nurses who have direct bedside contact with patients is integral in improving patient outcomes.

Problem Description-Patient facing nurses have cited a lack of leadership support in conducting research. A lack of research knowledge by nursing leaders has also previously been identified. Background: Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia in post-industrialized populations. Older age, hypertension, obesity, chronic inflammation, and diabetes are significant atrial fibrillation risk factors, suggesting that modern urban environments may promote atrial fibrillation.

Objective: Here we assess atrial fibrillation prevalence and incidence among tropical horticulturalists of the Bolivian Amazon with high levels of physical activity, a lean diet, and minimal coronary atherosclerosis, but also high infectious disease burden and associated inflammation.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES: Collaboration across multiple sectors is needed to bring about health system transformation, but creating effective and sustainable collaboratives is challenging. We describe outcomes and lessons learned from the Hearts of Sonoma County (HSC) initiative, a successful multi-sector collaborative effort to reduce cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in Sonoma County, California.

Conflicting data have led to ongoing confusion regarding pregnancy-associated melanoma (PAM) in the media and among the public. The objective of this study was to better characterize both the clinical presentation of PAM and its prognostic implications.
