This study utilized a single-case multiple-baseline design to analyze the effects of a ten-week multi-component positive psychology intervention, the Well-Being Promotion Program, on the subjective well-being of Autistic youth. This thesis addressed a gap in the literature regarding the effectiveness of positive psychology interventions when administered to Autistic middle schoolers. Three Autistic middle schoolers participated in this single-case design study. Dynamic decision-making was used to stagger intervention implementation across the three participants. Life satisfaction and positive/negative affect data were collected via a Qualtrics survey that was administered twice per week. We report the case of a seven-year-old boy with an ingested foreign body, which was retained within the appendix for a known duration of ten months, ultimately requiring appendectomy. The ingested foreign body was incidentally discovered by abdominal x-ray at an emergency room visit for constipation. Despite four bowel cleanouts, subsequent x-rays showed persistence of the foreign body in the right lower quadrant. While the patient did not have signs or symptoms of acute appendicitis, laparoscopic appendectomy was performed due to the risk of this foreign body causing appendicitis in the future. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the process and outcomes of using the Teaching Tools for Young Children with Challenging Behavior (TTYC) with two kindergarten classroom teachers and two high functioning children with autism spectrum disorders engaging in moderate problem behavior during daily classroom routines. The focus was to evaluate the extent to which the kindergarten teachers could adequately use the TTYC toolkit with minimal behavioral consultation in the assessment and intervention process and to examine its impact on student behavior.
