The growing population of older adults beckons nursing education to evolve and prepare the future nursing workforce with skills and knowledge to coordinate care for the community-dwelling older adult (gerontological) population. The purpose of this project is to develop, implement, and evaluate academic partnerships with agencies serving community-dwelling older adults for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) students. The formation of Community-Academic Partnerships (CAP) offers the opportunity for an experiential learning internship in combination with a gerontological curriculum.
