To investigate the nature of exposure factors, and effectiveness of countermeasures in head injuries in Taiwanese children with head injuries consecutively admitted to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital from Jan. 1985 to Dec. 1989. We analyzed the data by chart review. The analysis confirmed a boy to girl ratio of about 2.3 to 1. The largest number of head injuries was in children under 1 year, 4 to 5 years and more than 15 years of age.
