Introduction: With the higher education student populations facing greater prevalence of mental health conditions and greater presence of students with disabilities attending higher education, there is a greater demand than many higher education resources can meet. Therefore, there is a need to revise the current student support structure. This project advocated for the role of occupational therapy (OT) program development in higher education student disability services.

Tooth decay and gum disease are two of the most common chronic health conditions in the United States, are reversible and preventable, and impact approximately 68% of older adults nationwide (CDC, 2021; World Health Organization, 2020). While the Affordable Care Act added provisions to health prevention services, oral health prevention coverage was only included for children, leaving many adults and older adults without coverage (Nasseh & Vujicic, 2017). Transgender adults encounter obstacles accessing adequate healthcare; additionally, providers face barriers in meeting the unique needs of transgender people. To mitigate barriers, select clinics specialize in transgender healthcare. The purpose of this study is to describe the lived experiences of adults receiving gender affirmation care at clinics specializing in transgender healthcare. We administered a digital questionnaire with open-ended questions and an optional photograph upload representative of participants’ experiences, obtaining a purposeful sample of 20 respondents. The purpose of this project is to compare the frequency and degree of attrition or dental wear, abscessing and antemortem tooth loss in both the Mimbres and the Fort Ancient Period populations. Since both populations have similar agriculturalist dietary practices and they lived around the same time period, examination of these dental pathologies can show the overall health of the populations and give us a better understanding of how they lived. Hospitals are increasingly concerned about shortages of registered nurses due to the retirement of Baby Boomer nurses. A case study resulted in an internal analysis of Baby Boomer nurses to understand how hospital workforce strategy can effectively retain older nurses. Using an interdisciplinary approach, this primarily qualitative study included an in-depth survey and semi-structured interviews. The hospital was able to identify retention strategies that met the needs of older nurses and the organization through the inclusion of multiple perspectives.
