Objectives: Evaluation of ultrasound guided (USG) ilioinguinal/iliohypogastric (II/IH) nerve block versus USG transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block as analgesia for adults undergoing inguinal hernia repair. The analgesic efficacy was assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS) as primary objective. Time to first rescue analgesia, postoperative consumption of additional analgesics, hemodynamics, and complications were assessed as secondary objectives. Background: Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) has a greater lethality with substantial morbidity. Hippo pathway is important for tissue homeostasis. Objectives: To assess the role of YAP1 and LATS1 in Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). Methods: This retrospective case-control study included 70 NMSC specimens (50 BCC and 20 SCC cases) and 40 control cases from Egyptian patients. Immunohistochemical staining of YAP1 and LATS1 was done and assessed semi-quantitatively using staining extent and intensity. Objectives: The current study was designed to evaluate the role of norepinephrine infusion in maintaining hemodynamics stable in patients undergoing caesarean section Background: Hypotension commonly occurred after spinal anaesthesia and this is caused by sympathetic system inhibition. Methods: Forty female patients undergoing caesarean section were divided into two groups. Group 1 received norepinephrine infusion and group 2 received bolus norepinephrine. Background Phosphorus is essential element for various biological functions but data about serum phosphorus level abnormalities among critically ill children are limited. Patients and methods Prospective observational study including children admitted into Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Serum phosphorus was measured on admission, day4, day8, and day12. Objective: Is to evaluate results of percutaneous screw fixation of acetabular column fractures. Design: This study included 18 patients with acetabular column fractures. They were fixed under fluoroscopy guidance by percutaneous column screws. Background: Acetabular geometry makes percutaneous screw insertion a challenging procedure. An anatomical reduction of acetabular fractures is a good predictor of functional outcome and reduced risk of posttraumatic osteoarthritis.
