It is imperative that new graduate PMHNPs successfully traverse the gap from student to prescriber of care to meet these needs. Currently, a transition to practice gap exists for PMHNPs who are often left alone to navigate the beginnings of their new career. Additionally, the transition has not been analyzed extensively in literature (Barnes, 2015). The purpose of this DNP project is to implement a transition to practice survival kit series.
