A native pony, eight years old and male, was tentatively diagnosed with abdominal pain and treated immediately. Sequential hematological profiles revealed increased levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and creatinine, as well as reduced albumin. After the pony's death, which occurred eight days after treatment began, a necropsy was performed. The liver's external surface showed small foci, but no gross lesion was observed in the pancreas, which was enlarged. Haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of the liver showed multifocal inflammation in the hepatic parenchyma, coinciding with bile duct hyperplasia. Background: This paper aimed to investigate the prevalence of depression and related factors among health science students in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Method: A cross-sectional study was undertaken among 401 undergraduate students. Depression was measured using the Centre for Epidemiological Studies Short Depression Scale. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression was applied to identify any associations.

Results: Findings indicated that the prevalence of depression among students was 41.6%. โรคมาลาเรียถือเป็นปัญหาด้านสาธารณสุขที่สำคัญ ในปี พ.ศ.2564 องค์กรอนามัยโลกรายงานจำนวนผู้ติดเชื้อมาลาเรียทั่วโลกกว่า 247 ล้านรายและผู้เสียชีวิตกว่า 627,000 ราย ซึ่งมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้น ส่งผลต่อการควบคุมและการกำจัดโรคมาลาเรีย โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่ไม่แสดงอาการอาจไม่ได้รับการตรวจวินิจฉัยและการรักษา จึงสามารถเป็นแหล่งสะสมและแพร่กระจายของเชื้อมาลาเรียได้ ในปัจจุบันมีเชื้อพลาสโมเดียมที่ก่อโรคในมนุษย์ 5 สปีสีช์ ได้แก่ P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae, P. ovale และ P. knowlesi ดังนั้นเทคนิคที่มีความไวสูงในการตรวจหาเชื้อมาลาเรียจึงมีความสำคัญมาก นอกจากนี้การรักษาด้วยยาต้านเชื้อมาลาเรีย เช่น ไพรมาควิน อาจส่งผลต่อผู้ที่มีภาวะพร่องเอนไซม์จีซิกพีดีทำให้เกิดภาวะเม็ดเลือดแดงแตกได้ งานวิจัยนี้จึงได้พัฒนาเทคนิคพีซีอาร์เอชอาร์เอ็มสำหรับตรวจหาเชื้อมาลาเรียและการกลายพันธุ์ของยีนจีซิกพีดี รวมทั้งทดสอบปริมาณความหนาแน่นต่ำสุดที่สามารถตรวจพบได้ ความไวและความจำเพาะของเทคนิคที่พัฒนาขึ้นพบว่าสามารถตรวจหาเชื้อมาลาเรียที่มีความหนาแน่นต่ำสุดเท่ากับ 2.354-3.316 copies/µL มีความไวและความจำเพาะในการตรวจหาเชื้อ P. falciparum, P. malariae, P. ovale และ P. knowlesi เท่ากับ 100% และ 100% ตามลำดับ ความไวและความจำเพาะในการตรวจหาเชื้อ P. vivax เท่ากับ 100% และ 99.28% ตามลำดับ สำหรับการตรวจการกลายพันธุ์ของยีนจีซิกพีดีพบว่าสามารถตรวจระบุจีซิกพีดีเวียงจันทน์และจีซิกพีดีมหิดลได้อย่างถูกต้อง ดังนั้นเทคนิคพีซีอาร์เอชอาร์เอ็มที่พัฒนาขึ้นจึงเป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกสำหรับการตรวจเชื้อมาลาเรียและการกลายพันธุ์ของยีนจีซิกพีดี ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์แก่ผู้ป่วยมาลาเรียเพื่อให้ได้รับการรักษาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพและหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศ รายได้ สถานะการสูบบุหรี่ ภาวะโรคร่วม (โรคหืด โรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ ภาวะกรดไหลย้อน) อาการทางจมูกและอาการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประสาทรับกลิ่น คุณภาพการนอนหลับ และการรับรู้ความสามารถในการควบคุมโรคกับคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยไซนัสอักเสบเรื้อรัง กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้ป่วยไซนัสอักเสบเรื้อรังทั้งเพศชาย และเพศหญิงที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ 18-65 ปี มีอาการไซนัสอักเสบเรื้อรังมากกว่า 12 สัปดาห์ขึ้นไปที่เข้ารับการรักษาที่หอผู้ป่วยนอกหรือคลินิกที่มีแพทย์เฉพาะทางโรคด้านนาสิกวิทยาและภูมิแพ้ โรงพยาบาลตติยภูมิขึ้นไป 3 แห่ง ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 143 คน คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยวิธีการสุ่มหลายขั้นตอน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ 1) แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการเจ็บป่วยและการรักษา 2) แบบสอบถามอาการทางจมูกและอาการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประสาทรับกลิ่น 3) แบบสอบถามคุณภาพการนอนหลับ 4) แบบสอบถามการรับรู้ความสามารถในการควบคุมโรค และ 5) แบบสอบถามคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพ แบบสอบถามทุกฉบับได้ผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 6 ท่าน และตรวจสอบความเที่ยงด้วยวิธีคำนวนค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟาครอนบาคเท่ากับ 0.83, 0.73, 0.77 และ 0.91 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการหาความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของสเปียร์แมน และสัมประสิทธิ์ Eta ผลการวิจัยพบว่าคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคไซนัสอักเสบเรื้อรังอยู่ในระดับต่ำทั้ง 8 มิติ ได้แก่ การรับรู้สุขภาพทั่วไป ความเจ็บปวด บทบาทที่ถูกจำกัดเนื่องจากปัญหาด้านอารมณ์ บทบาทที่ถูกจำกัดเนื่องจากสุขภาพทางกาย พลังงาน สุขภาพจิตทั่วไป การทำหน้าที่ทางสังคม และการทำหน้าที่ทางกาย (ร้อยละ 50.3, 35.7, 35.7, 32.2, 28.0, 19.6, 10.5, และ 9.1 ตามลำดับ) คุณภาพการนอนหลับที่ไม่ดี อาการทางจมูกและอาการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประสาทการรับกลิ่น มีความสัมพันธ์ทางลบกับคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สันเท่ากับ -.479 และ -.439 ตามลำดับ ในขณะที่การรับรู้ความสามารถในการควบคุมโรค มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สันเท่ากับ .306 รายได้มีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของสเปียร์แมนเท่ากับ .148 ในขณะที่โรคหืดและสถานะการสูบบุหรี่มีความสัมพันธ์กับคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 …

Antiresorptive drugs are widely used to treat osteoporosis. A serious adverse effect of these drugs is medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). By informing and educating patients about MRONJ, providing proper dental referral, and monitoring the oral health of patients who receive antiresorptive agents, physicians can reduce the risk of MRONJ. We investigated the awareness and clinical practices of physicians in Thailand with regard to MRONJ. Physicians who prescribed antiresorptive drugs for osteoporosis filled out an online self-administered questionnaire about demographic characteristics, awareness, and practices related to MRONJ. The aim of this in vitro study was to compare the remineralization efficiency among Nano-silver fluoride 400 ppm (NSF400), 38% Silver diamine fluoride (38% SDF) and 5% Sodium fluoride (5% NaF) on artificial dentine caries in permanent molar or premolar teeth. The teeth were sectioned to obtain 120 specimens (3 x 3 x 2 mm3). วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากและผลของการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองที่โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย มีผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองระยะฟื้นฟูที่กลับมาติดตามอาการในช่วง 3 เดือน ยินยอมเข้าร่วมโครงการวิจัยทั้งสิ้น 86 ราย ผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองจะได้รับการตรวจสภาวะสุขภาพช่องปาก ทำการสัมภาษณ์ข้อมูลทั่วไป ร่วมกับการเก็บข้อมูลในเวชระเบียนของผู้ป่วย ใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาอธิบายลักษณะของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง และใช้สถิติสหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สันและสเปียร์แมนวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากกับผลของการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ 0.05 สภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากประเมินจากจำนวนฟันธรรมชาติที่เหลืออยู่ จำนวนคู่สบฟันหลังและคะแนนแบบประเมินสภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากและฟันเทียมฉบับดัดแปลง ผลของการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองจะประเมินจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของคะแนนค่าความรุนแรงของโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง ผลการวิจัยพบว่าจำนวนฟันธรรมชาติที่เหลืออยู่และจำนวนคู่สบฟันหลังมีความสัมพันธ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติกับผลของการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองพบความสัมพันธ์เป็นแบบสหสัมพันธ์เชิงลบ สรุปผลการวิจัย จำนวนฟันธรรมชาติที่เหลืออยู่และจำนวนคู่สบฟันหลังมีความสัมพันธ์กับผลของการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมองโดยพบความสัมพันธ์มีทิศทางตรงกันข้าม ผู้ป่วยที่มีจำนวนฟันธรรมชาติและจำนวนคู่สบฟันหลังที่มากสัมพันธ์กับค่าความรุนแรงของโรคหลอดเลือดสมองตอนผู้ป่วยออกจากโรงพยาบาลที่มีค่าความรุนแรงน้อยกว่า ผู้ป่วยจึงมีอาการเริ่มต้นไม่รุนแรงส่งผลให้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงความรุนแรงของโรคน้อยกว่า การดูแลสภาวะสุขภาพช่องปากให้อยู่ในสภาพดีและการเก็บรักษาฟันธรรมชาติสภาพดีไว้ให้ได้มากที่สุดอาจจะเป็นปัจจัยร่วมปัจจัยหนึ่งในการลดความเสี่ยงความรุนแรงของโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง
