The purpose of this pilot was to describe the impact of a group teaching preparation on Baccalaureate nursing students' perceived knowledge, level of preparation and level of comfort regarding group teaching. Thirty-one California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Palm Desert Campus (PDC) nursing students attended a four-hour workshop discussing basic group teaching skills and teaching strategies to be successful even in unexpected situations.

This study examined the effect of a workshop with simulated clinical interpersonal skills practice and conversational analysis on second-year nursing students' interpersonal communication skills. The ultimate goal of the present researcher is to empower nursing students with the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team. The target population consists of second-year nursing students, with the accessible population at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). A random sample of 28 participants were selected from among students enrolled in the Foundation of Nursing Process, Roles and skills course, on two campuses of CSUSB.

The purpose of this study is to pilot a new tool that encompasses both patients' and nurses' perceptions of the nurse-patient interaction. This pairing of surveys will measure congruence of the perceptions between the nurse and the patient.

This project addressed the continuing education needs of nursing staff and other health care professionals for delivering competent and compassionate palliative or end of life care. The scope of the project included, writing a grant application, training and certification by the end of life Nursing Education Consortium and implementing an education program for staff at the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs medical center.
