AbstractConflation of moral and compassionate healthcare within the business model that is focused on customer service, disempowers, dehumanizes, and destabilizes nursing as well as the financial stability of healthcare. The purpose of this research was to determine nurses’ perceptions of how their work environment supported or contradicted a potential expansion of the quadruple aim. The quadruple aim was the primary conceptual framework for this research.
