Forced impregnation process is normally performed under vacuum at freezing temperature which requires expensive plastination apparatus. To reduce the cost in the plastination process, forced impregnation of porcine hearts under two different environments, which are at the freezing temperature (-20oC) and at room temperature (22-25oC), was compared. Twelve porcine hearts were collected from a slaughter house, and divided into the groups, six in each, and subjected to be plastinated by S10 standard technique at the two temperatures. The study was conducted to examine the effect of different parthenogenetic activation (PA) protocols on developmental competence and quality of embryos, and to establish the parthenogenetic embryonic stem (ptES)-like cells in pigs. Compacted cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs) were collected from porcine ovaries and then cultured in M199-medium. After 44 hrs of culture, matured MII-oocytes were selected and divided into three groups. The objectives of the present study were to evaluate the damage of DNA of the frozen-thawed (FT) boar spermatozoa and to investigate the effect of various concentrations of L-cysteine supplementation on the sperm DNA damage. A total of 104 cryopreserved semen samples from twenty-six ejaculates of 16 proven boars were analyzed. Of these samples, each semen sample contained a different concentration of L-cysteine i.e., 0 (n=41), 5 (n=41), 10 (n=11) and 15 (n=11) mM. The aim of this study was to compare 2 copper products and examine their influence on hematological parameters, body weight, and content of copper and iron in the liver and spleen of pigs. In this experiment, 60 day-old pigs, bw \approx 10 kg, (Camborough hybrid) were fed 1 of 3 treatments for 20 days: 20 ppm copper from copper methionine (Cu MET), 40 ppm copper from Cu MET, and 20 ppm Cu from copper sulfate (Cu SUL). The aim of this study was to assess the usefulness of raw grass pea seeds in pig feed, and the usefulness of supplementing mixtures that contain raw grass pea seeds with a probiotic and an enzymatic preparation.
