Background: Kinesio Taping is effective for treating knee symptoms in various diseases. However, the outcome of using this method in hemophilia patients with knee symptoms has not been previously studied. Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of Kinesio Taping on the knee symptoms in patients with hemophilia who had knee symptoms in the previous year. Background: The ReWalk^(TM) system is an exoskeleton robotic device developed for ambulation assistance in patients with paraplegic spinal cord injury (SCI). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and walking capability of the ReWalk^(TM) system for patients with paraplegic spinal cord injury in Taiwan. Methods: Eight patients with SCI and paraplegia were recruited for the study in a period from April 2015 to April 2016. The level of injuries ranged from T4 to T11. Background: Oral cavity cancer is the most common cancer in middle-aged men in Taiwan. Radiation fibrosis syndrome and lymphedema are the leading side effects in patients with oral cavity cancer, and can deteriorate their quality of life (QOL). Objective: This study attempted to investigate effects of group-based computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation for patients with cognitive impairment. Methods: A total of 11 patients with cognitive impairment were included in the study. Cognitive impairment and activities of daily living were assessed using Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Cognitive Abilities. Objective: The study aimed to examine the effect of rehabilitation on mortality in patients with dengue in intensive care units (ICUs). Design: This was a retrospective cohort study. In this study, 142 patients with dengue from ICUs were enrolled from August to December, 2015. They were divided into two groups: patients with or without rehabilitation. The relationship between rehabilitative therapy and the risk of dengue-related mortality was assessed using a multivariate Cox regression model after adjustment for related variables. Data were derived from the National Health Insurance Research Database. This study identified all patients diagnosed with SCI from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2013. After wearing a hairpin for the entire evening during her sleep, 8-year-old girl experienced acute onset of torticollis and neck pain after walking up the next morning. Kienböck's disease of the wrist is a multifactorial, progressive osteonecrosis of the lunate bone. Patients with this disease often complain of dorsal wrist pain and other wrist dysfunctions. Plantar fasciopathy is a common problem in the general population involving the proximal area of the central cord of the plantar aponeurosis. 脊髓損傷合併臂神經叢損傷臨床上少見且不易診斷與處置。過去研究的報告發生率約為0.6%到1.8%。在脊髓損傷的病人處置時,通常優先處理危及生命的傷害,且臂神經叢損傷的臨床表現也可能歸因於脊髓損傷而被忽略。本文報告一名55歲因車禍意外導致第四節脊髓損傷的男性病人,根據病人的身體檢查、神經學檢查發現右上肢深肌腱反射無反應,以及明顯不對稱的右上肢與左上肢肌力,經過神經傳導檢查及肌電圖檢查,確定該名病人為脊髓損傷合併臂神經叢損傷。同時罹患脊髓損傷及臂神經叢損傷的病人數量可能被低估,治療計畫及復健也更為複雜,早期診斷與適當治療是此類病人上肢功能恢復的重要關鍵。除了詳細探查脊髓損傷病人的臨床症狀、身體檢查、神經學檢查之外,電學診斷對於合併臂神經叢損傷的確診最有效益。

Weight Training adalah metode latihan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan dan kinerja neuromuskular melalui proses hyperthropy, namun juga meningkatkan produksi Laktat, menyebabkan inflamasi otot, meng-gangu metabolisme tubuh sehingga menurunkan performa. Background: Given the types of symptoms present in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), interventions should address deficits in motor control, social interactions, and emotional intelligence. Alternative interventions, such as exercise video gaming (exergaming) and dance movement therapy, may address these deficits in an engaging, age-appropriate manner, thus meeting the unique needs of adolescents with ASD.

Aquatic locomotion exercises are frequently used in rehabilitation and cross-training for land-based athletes. Hydrostatic pressure, thermal conductivity and drag force affect a person's ability to move; therefore, it is important to understand differences of biomechanical gait in water vs land. This review investigated biomechanical differences between shallow water and land-based exercises. PubMed, Google Scholar, SPORTDiscus and Scopus were searched; 33 studies included walking forward (27), backward (6) and running (6). Electromyographic amplitude was similar or less in submaximal intensity during aquatic gait, in comparison to on land. It has been identified that the physiotherapy needs of patients with central neurological conditions are specific and that this cohort are generally under-serviced in rural and remote areas in Australia. A quality improvement project was undertaken to improve patient experience in outpatient physiotherapy services in Tasmania, facilitating increased self-efficacy and quality of life, in patients with central chronic neurological conditions.. An experience-based co-design approach was utilised, involving past and current patients as well as physiotherapy staff in the project design, data collection, analysis and evaluation phases. While the value of patient reported experience is increasingly acknowledged, the measurement of rehabilitation-specific patient reported experiences is an area that is yet to attract a lot of attention. The aim of this study was to examine the patient-reported experience of person-centred inpatient rehabilitation. The study consisted of a multi-site cross sectional survey using the 33-item modified Client Centred Rehabilitation Questionnaire (CCRQ). A total of 408 participants were recruited from 20 inpatient rehabilitation facilities across Australia. The aim of this study was to review the current evidence of the abductor pollicis longus electromyographic activity during thumb movements. The author performed an electronic thorough search for EMBASE, MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Web of Knowledge articles. Nine pieces in particular were found to explore the electromyographic activity of the abductor pollicis longus during thumb functional and non-functional movements. Consistent results were noticed, all emphasizing the key role of abductor pollicis longus in stabilizing the thumb's carpometacarpal joint. Purpose: The objective of this study is to observe the efficacy of orofacial myofunctional therapy in children who breathe through their mouths “mouth breathers” using a clinical assessment and surface electromyography. Method: 30 nasal breath (control group) and 30 mouth breathers (study group) were evaluated initially, and the study group was re-evaluated after 12 sessions of orofacial myofunctional therapy. Assessments involved the MBGR protocol and surface electromyography. Results: The control group had significantly better scores on all nasal breathing tests compared to mouth breathers both before and after therapy.
