Qi Gong is a special type of Chinese traditional conditioning exercise, consisting of three major components: dynamic sitting posture, meditation, and diaphragmatic exercise.In order to evaluate the differences of the cardiorespiratory function between Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan practitioners, there are three groups, each group including 10 male middle-aged subjects, with matched age and body size: (1) Qi Gong practitioners for at least one year; (2) Tai Chi chuan players for average 5.8 rears; (3) sedentary subjects.
