In this retrospective study, 199 cases of cerebral palsy who lived in South Taiwan and once visited O.P.D of rehabilitation department from July 1986 to Sep. 1991 was collected.The etiology of cerebral palsy were divided into prenatal, perinatal, postnatal factors by time series. The classifications of cerebral palsy were according to type, topography and severity of neuromuscular involvements. The most common etiology in this study was prenatal factor, it was different from some previous studies ten years ago, in which perinatal cause was the majority.
