BPC 157 was first isolated from human gastric juice. It is a stable 15-amino acid fragment (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV), and the healing-promoting effects of BPC 157 have been reported on muscle injury. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect and molecular mechanism of BPC 157 on migration of skeletal muscle cells. Skeletal muscle cells were isolated from the gastrocnemius muscle of Sprague-Dawley rats, and treated with BPC 157. The cell migration was evaluated by transwell filter migration assay.
