Introduction
Patient feedback system (PFS) forms an important entry point for the medical personnel and healthcare administrators to identify healthcare service delivery gaps and develop responsive interventions. This may foster patient trust consequently increasing healthcare-seeking, engagement in decision, continuity, and satisfaction. However, research on the PFS in rural primary healthcare settings appears limited.
Objective
The paper examines the perceived role and efectiveness of PFS in improving therapeutic relationships building on the recent research on patient-provider relationships in rural Tanzania.

Background
Research shows that poor provider–client interactions in maternity and child health (MCH) continue to affect health outcomes, service uptake, continuity of care, and trust in formal healthcare systems.
Objective The study’s objective was to jointly create a prototype intervention package for enhancing nurse-client relationships using human centered design (HCD) approach.

Background: Formal education for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients is essential, especially in rural areas where diabetes is approximately 17% higher than in urban areas (Bolin & Ferdinand, 2018). In 2019, diabetes was listed as the direct cause of 1.5 million deaths, and 48% of all deaths due to diabetes occurred before 70 years (American Diabetes Association, 2021). According to the American Diabetes Association (2021), approximately 550,149 people in Alabama, or 14.1% of adults, have been diagnosed with diabetes. Major depressive disorder is one of the most common mental health conditions. In the United States, 8.1% of the population have symptoms of depression. Patients with diabetes are 2–3 times more likely to experience symptoms of depression compared to the general population. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death among Black/African American women. Rural Black women have the highest CVD prevalence and are more likely to have modifiable risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity than any other race. Accessible evidence-based culture-appropriate self-care programs for risk reduction and CVD prevention can address these disparities. This rapid review aims to provide a comprehensive collection of such programs. Methods. ultrasound testing has multiple steps, all of which provide opportunities for delay in testing and diagnosis. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is a solution that allows the physician to perform same-day ultrasound in the primary care clinic. The objective of this program development project was to implement POCUS in a rural primary care clinic to reduce time to testing and diagnosis for those patients requiring ultrasound testing.

Previous research has shown that postpartum women with untreated mental health conditions are more likely to fail to manage their own health, have inadequate nutrition, abuse substances, experience abuse, be less responsive to their baby’s needs, have fewer positive interactions with their baby, experience difficulties breastfeeding, and question their abilities as a mother. Rural culture plays a complex role in the transition to motherhood, influencing whether mothers seek out and use resources. Substance use disorders (SUD) affect more than 40 million Americans. African American (AA) men are disproportionally affected by the negative health and social consequences of SUD, and men in rural areas may be particularly at risk due to disadvantaged socioeconomic conditions and persistent race-related stressors such as perceived discrimination. The overall purpose of this study is to advance the understanding of factors associated with SUD treatment acceptance and relapse potential among Southern rural AA men.

The cultural interactions of an educator teaching in an urban district may differ from the relations experienced by a rural nurse educator. The purpose of this quantitative study, guided by Bandura’s social cognitive theory, was to determine whether there is a difference between the cultural self-efficacy scores of nurse faculty teaching in a rural location compared to those in an urban location as well as whether the demographics of age, ethnic background, and years in the nursing profession predict cultural self-efficacy scores. Survivorship care plans (SCPs) bridge the gap in the transition of care from oncology to primary care providers (PCPs) for breast cancer survivors. Despite strong recommendations for SCPs, their use remains limited. Guided by Knowles’ adult learning theory, the project focused on, first, determining whether a predeveloped staff education activity was valid using the Lynn model criteria for validation. Second, if in a rural clinic where SCP were not consistently used providers, nurses, and staff knowledge regarding the importance of SCP would increase following an educational program.
