Undergraduate nursing students endure unique stressors that potentiate negative consequences to their mental health. Mindfulness-based interventions may improve these negative mental health symptoms in nursing students. The objective of this review is to assess available research regarding the effects of mindfulness-based interventions on the negative mental health symptoms of undergraduate nursing students. The databases CINAHL Complete, PubMed, and PsycINFO were searched for relevant research. Search terms were brainstormed and individually assessed to determine relevancy to the research question. The use of simulation-based activities is a growing trend in nursing pedagogy and requires evaluation to assess and improve outcomes. This project completed a review of multiple research studies and reviews to evaluate the effects of simulation and simulation methods on students’ sense of self-efficacy and confidence. The findings support the use of simulation and found that simulation does increase students’ perception of confidence and self-efficacy. The data collected included both qualitative and quantitative data. A few studies lacked generalizability due to small sample size and scenario selection. Aim: The aim of this study was to examine if student nurse participation in root cause analysis has the potential to reduce harm to patients from medication errors by increasing student nurse sensitivity to signal and responder bias.

The modern patient safety movement encourages utilization of systems theory strategies like Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Purpose: Nursing students are prone to stress-related diseases, such as depression and anxiety, which are associated with chronically elevated cortisol levels due to the excessive firing of the Hypothalamic Pituitary Adrenal (HPA) axis. This study assessed three speeds of yoga and how they acutely affected salivary cortisol levels within female nursing students. The objective of this study was to assess the attitudes and knowledge about human lactation among a group of nursing students. An anonymous online survey was sent to all College of Nursing students at a local university in Kentucky.
