Purpose: To study the effects of empowerment program on late phase postoperative recovery among post lumbar spine surgery patients.Design: Quasi-experimental researchMethods: The participants were 46 patients aged 30-59 years old, under postoperative lumbar spine surgery were admitted into the Neurosurgery ward at Prasat Neurological Institute. Randomly selected and assigned into either experimental and control group comprised 23 patients in each group with matching technique for age, pain scale, and level of lumbar spine surgery. The research instruments consisted of the empowerment program base on the concept of Gibson, notebook with activity, and postoperative recovery profile for lumbar spine surgery patients. …
