Purpose: To describe the lived experiences of a son being the caregiver for dependent elderly parents.Design: The phenomenological research methodology was employed based on the concept of Heidegger.Methods: The participants were sons with experience as the caregiver for dependent elderly in Bangkok. Data were collected using interview guidelines with in-depth interview. Data were analyzed by using Van Manen's method and audio recording and until saturated data with the 12 informants.Findings: The lived experiences of the son being caregiver for dependent elderly parents were categorized into 5 main aspects: 1) Changes in life.
