In this presentation we will share the artifacts created in a graduate course designed to prepare nurse educators to work in both academic and clinical environments. Nursing education must become responsive to the dynamic, technology rich healthcare environment. Incorporating electronic health records (EHR) and human patient simulators (HPS) into nursing education provide a harm-free milieu for students to develop clinical judgment by interacting with patients, interdisciplinary teams, and family members. The nursing department had several HPS but did not have access to EHR software, an integral piece of the simulation experience.
