Background/aim: The distribution of Mediterranean fever (MEFV) gene mutations in Turkish familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) patients varies according to geographic area of Turkey. There is a need for highly representative data for Turkish FMF patients. The aim of our study was to investigate the distribution of the common MEFV mutations in Turkish FMF patients in a nationwide, multicenter stu dy.Materials and methods: Data of the 2246 FMF patients, from 15 adult rheumatology clinics located in different parts of the country, were evaluated retrospectively. Background/ aim: Since January 2015, the Cystic Fibrosis Newborn Screening (CFNS) program has been implemented in Turkey. We aimed to evaluate the demographic, clinical, and laboratory data of cases referred from the CFNS program and to determine the most suitable cut-off value for immunoreactive trypsinogen (IRT)-1 and immunoreactive trypsinogen (IRT-2) that are used in the CFNS program in Turkey. Background/aim: To determine risk factors of overweightness/obesity in children aged 0-5 years in the Turkish population.Materials and methods: We made advanced analysis using the Turkey Demographic Health Survey (TDHS) 2013 female database, in which data from children aged under five years and their mothers are included. Analyses were performed using weight for height index data. The children were divided into two groups by age as 0-23 months and 24-59 months.Results: The analysis comprised 2196 children aged under 5 years.
