UMaine Athletic News email regarding the fact that starting Jan. 4, 2022 the University of Maine System required anyone five years of age or older attending an indoor event with more than 250 people to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a negative test within 72 hours of the gathering. Proof of vaccination or a negative test was also needed.

Malloy regarding details of a Federal requirement that employees of a federal contractor must be either fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or seek a legally recognized exemption from vaccination for medical reasons or a sincerely held religious belief, practice or observance. UMS (including all of our universities and Maine Law) is a federal contractor, and the deadline for full compliance was December 8, 2021.
