The purpose of this quantitative, causal-comparative study was to determine if simulation training causes a significant increase in clinical self-efficacy in Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists. Simulation training in healthcare has been found to improve patient safety and has become a major tenet of nurse anesthetist education. Self-efficacy has been shown to correlate with improved clinical performance. This study builds on the research involving simulation training and clinical self-efficacy in the SRNA population. The purpose of this study was to investigate the acute responses of accentuated eccentric loaded (AEL) back squats to induce a postactivation performance enhancement (PAPE) effect in youth athletes across three jump conditions: countermovement jump (CMJ), squat jump (SJ), and novel propulsive-only jump (POJ). Fifteen participants (age: 15.6 ± 1.1 years; RT experience: 1.3 ± 0.9 years; relative strength: 1.32 ± 0.3) three sessions (one familiarization, two experimental). AEL interventions were performed on each experimental session, (3 sets x 3 repetitions) (ECC: 95%, 105%, 115%: CON: 60% 1RM) with pre- and post-testing (3 min, 6 min, 9 min, 12 min). …

The nursing shortage has been a hot topic for decades, and literature supports a need to address this issue. Death is inevitable, but dying alone can be an agonizing prospect for patients and their families. Family presence during resuscitation (FPDR) is a controversial but evidence-based concept that helps relieve some of the fear and anxiety for the family. Sadly, loved ones are often not allowed to be with the patient during resuscitation. FPDR importance is typically taught within the healthcare setting but still lacks implementation. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand speech-language pathologists’ (SLP) self-efficacy beliefs toward assessing culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students within public elementary schools in California. Bandura’s self-efficacy theory guided this study since it evaluated SLPs’ belief in their capacity to manage their motivation, behavior, and social environment to carry out appropriate assessment procedures for CLD students. The hermeneutic phenomenology approach is appropriate for discovering what nursing instructors teach their students about distraction in the classroom, simulation laboratory, and clinical setting. Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) are used to measure a patient’s glucose levels every few minutes around the clock. According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK), CGMs are mostly used by Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus patients, but research has shown that Type 2 DM patients can benefit from them as well (Ida et al., 2019; NIDDK, 2017).
