Osseointegrated Implants Versus Zirconium Mucosal Inserts In Complete Denture Patients, Sara Fikry El Shafei Dr, Fardos N Rizk
Osseointegrated Implants Versus Zirconium Mucosal Inserts In Complete Denture Patients, Sara Fikry El Shafei Dr, Fardos N Rizk
Dentistry
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of osseointegrated implants versus mucosal inserts used for retention of complete dentures. Materials and Methods: Twelve completely edentulous patients were selected for this study and divided into two groups of six. Group I received implant retained maxillary overdentures, while group II received maxillary overdentures retained by muchor zirconium mucosal inserts. Bone changes in both groups were evaluated using cone beam ct at insertion and after six and twelve months. Results: The results showed that the bone changes produced in mucosal overdenture wearers were greater than those produced in implant overdenture wearers. Conclusion: Zirconium mucosal inserts …
Effect Of Two Different Attachments On The Supporting Structures And Masticatory Capacity Of Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk
Effect Of Two Different Attachments On The Supporting Structures And Masticatory Capacity Of Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk
Dentistry
Aim: This study was conducted to compare the effect of ball and socket attachment and GPS attachment in implant retained mandibular overdenture cases regarding changes in: crestal bone height and density surrounding implants, electromyographic activity of temporalis and masseter muscles and occlusal biting force. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous patients received two implants placed bilaterally in the canine region (24 implants) to retain mandibular overdenture. Four months following the surgery patients were randomly divided into two equal groups; Group-I received ball and socket attachment while Group-II received GPS attachment upon which mandibular overdentures were …
Comparative Evaluation Of Two Different Castable Bar Attachments In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk
Comparative Evaluation Of Two Different Castable Bar Attachments In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk
Dentistry
Objective: This research was carried to evaluate which solitary attachment; OT Cap Ball attachment or OT Cap Equator Profile attachment mounted on a bar splinting two implants retaining mandibular overdenture is more favorable regarding crestal bone height and bone density changes surrounding the implants using cone beam computed tomography. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous patients received two implants placed bilaterally in the canine region (24 implants) to retain mandibular overdenture. Four months following the surgery patients were randomly divided into two equal groups; Group-I received two OT Cap Ball attachments mounted on a bar …
Effect Of Two Different Implant Structures On Stresses Induced Within The Surrounding Bone Using Three Dimensional Finite Element Analysis, Fardos N. Rizk
Effect Of Two Different Implant Structures On Stresses Induced Within The Surrounding Bone Using Three Dimensional Finite Element Analysis, Fardos N. Rizk
Dentistry
objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the stresses induced within the bone surrounding the Trabecular Metal Dental Implant (Zimmer Dental Inc., Carlsbad, CA, USA) in comparison to the stresses induced within the bone surrounding its predicate Tapered Screw Vent Implant (Zimmer Dental Inc., Carlsbad, CA, USA) using three dimensional finite element analysis. materials and methds: The current finite element analysis simulated a clinical situation where an edentulous mandible was restored with an entirely implant supported cantilever bar overdenture retained by five implants placed parallel to each other in the interforaminal region opposed by a complete denture. Two …
Comparative Study Of Ot Equator Profile Attachment Versus Gps Attachment In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk
Comparative Study Of Ot Equator Profile Attachment Versus Gps Attachment In Implant Retained Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Fardos N. Rizk
Dentistry
Aim: This study was carried out to evaluate whether OT Equator Profi le attachment or GPS attachment is less destructive to crestal bone around implants and to bone in distal aspect of the ridge in implant retained mandibular overdenture cases. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous patients received two implants placed bilaterally in the canine region (24 implants) to retain mandibular overdentures. Four months following the surgery patients were randomly divided into two equal groups; Group-I received OT Equator Profi le attachment while Group-II received GPS attachment upon which mandibular overdentures were retained. Once patients …
Radiodensitometric Evaluation Of The Effect Of Low Energy Laser Irradiation With And Without Anioxidant Therapy On Immediately Loaded Implant Supported Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk, Mouchira Salah Eldin Prof.
Radiodensitometric Evaluation Of The Effect Of Low Energy Laser Irradiation With And Without Anioxidant Therapy On Immediately Loaded Implant Supported Overdenture, Fardos N. Rizk, Mouchira Salah Eldin Prof.
Dentistry
objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the bone height and density around immediately loaded implants placed in the canine area supporting a mandibular overdenture in four different groups. The first group received low level laser therapy and antioxidants. The second group received antioxidants only. The third group received low level laser therapy only. The fourth group (control group) received no therapy. materials and methods: Following one stage surgical protocol twenty four implants were inserted bilaterally in the canine region to support mandibular overdentures for twelve completely edentulous patients in the form of two implants per patient. Patients …
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy For Promoting Osseointegration Around Dental Implants In Heavy Smokers, Fardos N. Rizk, Nasser Shaheen
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy For Promoting Osseointegration Around Dental Implants In Heavy Smokers, Fardos N. Rizk, Nasser Shaheen
Dentistry
Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy on osseointegration of implants supporting mandibular overdenture in heavy smokers. Materials and Methods: Following two stage surgical protocol twelve completely edentulous male heavy smokers received implants placed bilaterally in the canine region to support mandibular overdenture. On the second day after the surgery patients were divided randomly into two equal groups. Patients of group I were placed on a protocol of five consecutive sessions of HBO therapy, while patients of group II received no therapy and served as control. Four months following the surgery …
