Observations On Thamnidiaceae (Mucorales). New Taxa, New Combinations, And Notes On Selected Species, Gerald L. Benny, R. K. Benjamin

The Thamnidiaceae is defined and six of the 13 genera included in the family by the authors are discussed. Thfrteen species are descdbed and illustrated as follows ( basionyms given for new combinabons): Previously established genera.—(1) Thamnostylum piriforme, T. lucknowense, T. nigricans ( ≡ Helicostylmn nigricans) , and T. repens; (2) Backusella circina, B. lamprospora ( ≡ Mucor lamprosporus), and B. ctenidia. New genera.—(1) Fennellomyces linderi ( ≡ Circinella linderi); (2) Ellisomyces anomalus ( ≡ Thamnidimn anomalum ); (3) Zychaea mexicana; and (4) Dichotomocladium elegans, D. robustum, and D. …

Two new species of Drosera, D. marchantii and D. fimbriata, are described and illustrated from collections made in Western Australia and both are assigned to the subgenus Ergaleium.
