This paper presents the results of recent field surveys and provides new data on the spider fauna of Turkey. The following 9 taxa are new records for Turkey: Larinia chloris (Audouin, 1826); Macrothele sp.; Arctosa tbilisiensis Mcheidze, 1946; Pisaura consocia (O. P.-Cambridge, 1872); Prodidomus redikorzevi Spassky, 1940; Macaroeris flavicomis (Simon, 1884); Scytodes velutina Heineken & Lowe, 1832; Achaeridion conigerum (Simon, 1914); and Phoroncidia paradoxa (Lucas, 1846). New locality data are provided for the following previously but rarely recorded species: Spermophora senoculata (Dugès, 1836); Ariadna insidiatrix Audouin, 1826; and Segestria senoculata (Linnaeus, 1758). A total of 3 raphignathoid (Acari: Raphignathoidea) mite species, 2 from the family Stigmaeidae (Eustigmaeus anauniensis (Canestrini, 1889) and Stigmaeus planus Kuznetsov) and 1 from the family Raphignathidae (Raphignathus africanus Meyer & Ueckermann), are given as new records for the Iranian fauna.

The study was carried out between 2009 and 2011 in the inner part of western Anatolia (Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, and Uşak), and 18 species were recorded for the first time for the Turkish Limoniidae fauna. The taxa are Ellipteroides (s.str.) lateralis (Macquart, 1835), Erioconopa diuturna (Walker, 1848), E. interposita Stary, 1976, Gonempeda flava (Schummel, 1829), Gonomyia (s.str.) recta Tonnoir, 1920, G. A New Genus And Species For Turkish Fauna: Zeiraphera Isertana (Fabricius, 1794) (Lep.: Tortricidae), Mustafa Özdemi̇r, Ayşe Özdem

In this study, Zeiraphera isertana (Fabricius, 1794) is newly recorded among Turkish Tortricidae fauna. This is the first record of the genus Zeiraphera Treirschke, 1829 from Turkey. The specimens were collected from cherry trees in Afyonkarahisar Province during 2008. Collection was done via bait traps used for the control of Tortricidae pest moths. Both male genitalia and imago were depicted.

The genus Trichopsomyia Williston, 1888 is recorded for the first time from Iran. Trichopsomyia flavitarsis (Meigen, 1822) and T. lucida (Meigen, 1822) were determined based on the material collected from a wetland in Aynali forests in 2010. A key to the species of the genus in northwestern Iran is prepared and photographs of the specimens are provided.

Suctobelbid mite fauna of the Shendabad region (East Azerbaijan Province) was studied in 2008 to determine the species found in soil samples. There were 4 species identified that are new records for the mite fauna of Iran: Suctobelbella (Flagrosuctobelba) elegantula (Hammer), Suctobelbella (Flagrosuctobelba) nana Shtanchaeva and Subias, Suctobelbella (Suctobelbella) acutidens (Forsslund), and Suctobelba trigona (Michael). One species, Suctobelba aliena Moritz, is new to Asia. An identification key is given for the species.

Echinops ritrodes Bunge, E. gaillardotii Boiss., E. adenocaulos Boiss., E. chardinii Boiss. & Buhse, and E. tenuisectus Rech.f. were recorded for the first time in Turkey. The taxa are described and illustrated. Geographical distributions of the taxa are also mapped, and IUCN threat categories of the populations are discussed.

Ascobolus stercorarius (Bull.) J.Schröt. (Ascobolaceae), Cheilymenia fimicola (De Not. & Bagl.) Dennis (Pyronemataceae), Plectania melastoma (Sowerby) Fuckel, and P. rhytidia (Berk.) Nannf. & Korf (Sarcosomataceae) are given as new records at the genus level for the macromycota of Turkey.

Allium giganteum Regel (Liliaceae), Grammosciadium scabridum Boiss., and Ferulago angulata (Schlecht.) Boiss. subsp. carduchorum (Boiss. & Hausskn.) D.F.Chamb. (Apiaceae) are reported as new records for the Turkish flora. They have been identified using the collected specimens and Flora Iranica. The taxa's diagnostic characters, habitats, photos, and a distribution map of the new records in Turkey are given.

Allium saxatile M.Bieb. was collected from the north-western corner of European Turkey (Demirköy, Kırklareli) during the field survey of the "Yıldız Mountain Biosphere Project". It has been reported as a new record for the Turkish flora. A description based on the collected specimens, photographs of its habitat and flowering plants, map of the distribution area, and its karyotype are given.

Samples were collected from different habitats (plankton, epipelon, epiphyton, and epilithon) at 20 stations situated on rivers and dam systems in the Tigris Basin between December 2004 and November 2005. Twenty-five new records were identified for the Turkish freshwater algae. They belong to the following divisions: 3 to Cyanobacteria, 1 to Rhodophya, 1 to Euglenozoa, 2 to Myzozoa, 1 to Ochrophyta, 9 to Chlorophyta, and 8 to Charophyta.

In this article, an attempt has been made to establish the species composition of the macrofungi of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. A total of 73 species of macromycetes were registered, 2 belonging to the division Ascomycota and 71 to the division Basidiomycota. The trophic structure for the fungal species is as follows: 22 lignicolous and 51 terricolous. Fifty-three species were added to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic mycobiota; 8 species of them were added to the mycobiota of Azerbaijan as new records.
