Late Pre-Emergent Control Of Annual Bluegrass With Flazasulfuron & Indaziflam, J. Reeves, J. Hoyle Jan 2016

Late Pre-Emergent Control Of Annual Bluegrass With Flazasulfuron & Indaziflam, J. Reeves, J. Hoyle

Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station Research Reports

All applications of flazasulfuron or indaziflam resulted in acceptable control of Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua), only allowing<3% visual weed cover (VWC) in all treatments compared to the non-treated (26% VWC) up to 133 days after application (DAA).

Dormant Turfgrass Paint And Glyphosate Application Timing Effects On Annual Bluegrass And Tall Fescue Control, J. Hoyle, J. Reeves Jan 2015

Dormant Turfgrass Paint And Glyphosate Application Timing Effects On Annual Bluegrass And Tall Fescue Control, J. Hoyle, J. Reeves

Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station Research Reports

Excellent annual bluegrass control can be achieved with dormant glyphosate and glyphosate + Endurant treatments applied November through February. The addition of Endurant to glyphosate in early applications (November and December) increases tall fescue control.

Use Of A Handheld Thermal Torch As A Herbicide-Resistance Management Tool, J. Hoyle, J. Reeves, E. Alderman Jan 2015

Use Of A Handheld Thermal Torch As A Herbicide-Resistance Management Tool, J. Hoyle, J. Reeves, E. Alderman

Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station Research Reports

Handheld thermal torches could possibly become a tool to reduce glyphosate-resistant annual bluegrass populations. One month after treatment, 5- and 6-second handheld thermal heat treatments reduced annual bluegrass populations by 50 and 60%, respectively.
