Thinking Of Others At Christmas, Anna M. Wilson Oct 1947

Thinking Of Others At Christmas, Anna M. Wilson

SDSU Extension Circulars

A true gift is a joy to give and a pleasure to receive. Such a gift doesn't just happen, it grows. It takes thought and planning. Then it takes some doing. Gifts made at home will not stretch the purse strings too far, and they can be hand-tailored to the friend. The best gift may not be wrapped in tissue and ribbon-it might be an invitation to a Christmas tea party. Thinking of others will make Christmas the most joyous season of the year-as it should be.

Window Fashions, Mabel E. Bryan Feb 1947

Window Fashions, Mabel E. Bryan

SDSU Extension Circulars

Windows let sunshine and beauty into rooms, just as the eyes let light and joy into the soul. Windows should be allowed to serve their purpose and not be overloaded with curtains and draperies. They should be decorated to create a restful and cheerful atmosphere within the room. The best treatment depends on the size, shape, and arrangement of the windows, as well as the general characteristic of the room and its surroundings.
