New Additions To Turkish Mycota From Ankara, Balıkesir, And Kütahya Provinces, Deni̇z Altuntaş, Fuat Bozok, Hatira Taşkin, Şanli Kabaktepe, Hakan Alli, Ilgaz Akata

The current research was conducted on the fungal materials collected from Ankara, Balıkesir, and Kütahya provinces between 2015 and 2019. As a result of the field and laboratory studies, Conocybe dentatomarginata, Entoloma lampropus, Lactarius lilacinus, Otidea nannfeldtii and Sarcopeziza sicula are reported for the first time from Turkey based on macro- and micromorphological studies and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rDNA-based molecular phylogeny. Descriptions of new records are provided together with photos showing their macro and micro-morphology.

A Contribution To The Taxonomy Of Zoegea (Asteraceae, Cardueae?Centaureinae), Kazem Negaresh, Mohammad Reza Rahiminejad
Turkish Journal of Botany
A worldwide taxonomic revision and the relevant lectotypifications of Zoegea L. (Asteraceae) are presented. The recognized taxa, the relevant synonyms, type details, images of the type specimen, examined specimen lists, and a taxonomic key are provided for this genus. The geographic distribution of all recognized taxa is presented and tabulated. Zoegea leptaurea L. subsp. leptaurea for the floras of Iran and Saudi Arabia and also Z. purpurea Fresen. for the flora of Iraq are reported as new here.

New Desmid Records From High Mountain Lakes In Artabel Lakes Nature Park, Gümüşhane, Turkey, Bülent Şahi̇n, Bülent Akar

The algal flora of 17 lakes and 1 pond in the Artabel Lakes Nature Park were investigated during two summer seasons (2013 and 2016). In total, 26 desmid taxa were found and identified as new records for the desmid flora of Turkey based on their morphotaxonomic characteristics and ecological preferences. The taxa identified belong to the genera Actinotaenium (1), Closterium (1), Cosmarium (15), Micrasterias (1), Spondylosium (1), Staurastrum (5), Teilingia (1), and Tetmemorus (1). Morphotaxonomy, ecology, and distribution of each species were discussed in detail.

Rodr., Bordallo, Kaounas & A.Morte (Pezizaceae), Genea hispidula Berk. ex Tul. & C.Tul., Lamprospora campylopodis W.D.Buckley, Lamprospora tuberculatella Seaver, Octospora grimmiae Dennis & Itzerott, Octospora lilacina (Seaver) Svr?ek & Kubi?ka, Pulvinula convexella (P.Karst.) Pfister, Ramsbottomia crechqueraultii (P.Crouan & H.Crouan) Benkert & T.Schumach., and Trichophaea gregaria (Rehm) Boud. (Pyronemataceae), are recorded for the first time from Turkey. Brief descriptions and photographs of the taxa are provided.

Recently, the number of algological studies in Turkish inland waters has increased remarkably. However, taxonomic and floristic studies on algae in the Euphrates basin are still scarce. This study contributes new information to the knowledge of the Turkish freshwater algal flora. Phytoplankton samples were collected from the Tatar Dam Reservoir in the Euphrates Basin between January 2016 and December 2016. Two taxa were recorded for first time and 14 rare taxa for the freshwater algae of Turkey were identified in this study. The diatoms are one of the most important groups of organisms for biomonitoring studies. In Turkey, most previous applications of diatoms to water quality monitoring have focused on the pennate diatoms, with almost no attention given to the centric forms. The paper presents the centric diatoms in some river catchments in Central Anatolia (Konya closed catchment and Kızılırmak) and Western Anatolia (Marmara, Sakarya, Susurluk, Akarçay, Küçük Menderes, and Meriç-Ergene in the Marmara and Aegean regions). This paper presents new data on the diversity of Lactuca L. in Turkey based on recent collections made during revisional work. Lactuca leucoclada Rech.f. & Tuisl is newly recorded for Turkey, and for Lactuca viminea (L.) J.Presl. & C.Presl. and Lactuca quercina L., the presence of two distinct subspecies each in Turkey, L. viminea subsp. viminea and L. viminea subsp. ramosissima (All.) Arcang., and L. quercina subsp. quercina and L. quercina subsp. wilhemsiana (DC.) Feráková, respectively, are reported. The presence of Lactuca macrophylla (Willd.) Nine discomycete and one sordariomycete (Ascomycota) species are reported for the first time from Turkey. The genera Coccomyces, Kompsoscypha, Pseudopithyella, Strobiloscypha, and Lasiosphaeris have not been reported before in the country. Anthracobia, Plicaria, Sclerotinia, and Pithya species are new records added to the previous knowledge. Macro- and micromorphological descriptions and illustrations for each new taxon are provided.

The present study was carried out on macrofungi samples collected from Bingöl Province between 2006 and 2010. As a result of field and laboratory investigations 112 species belonging to Ascomycota and Basidiomycota were determined. Ten of them are new records for the Turkish mycobiota: Orbilia auricolor (A. Bloxam) Sacc.; Orbilia luteorubella (Nyl.) P. Karst.; Mollisia lividofusca (Fr.) Gillet; Calycina languida (P. Karst.) Baral, R. Galán & G. Platas; Vibrissea filisporia (Bonord.) Korf & A. The ongoing revision of the genus Poa in Turkey has resulted in two new Poa records for the Flora of Turkey as Poa pratensis subsp. irrigata (Lindm.) H. Lindb. and Poa eigii Feinbrun. In addition, the presence of Poa palustris L. is confirmed. A brief discussion and an illustration for each taxon are provided.

New Macrofungi Records From Turkey And Macrofungal Diversity Of Pozantı-Adana, Hasan Hüseyi̇n Doğan, Fevzi̇ Kurt

The present study reports on macrofungi species collected from 2003 to 2012 in Pozantı. In the field and during laboratory studies, 157 taxa belonging to 2 divisions and 51 families were identified. Among them, 8 families and 12 taxa belong to Ascomycota, and 43 families and 145 taxa belong to Basidiomycota. Moreover, 10 taxa"Dumontinia tuberosa, Lycoperdon lambinonii, Conocybe mesospora, Pholiotina striipes, Hebeloma sordidum, Antrodia ramentacea, Leucogyrophana romellii, Diplomitoporus flavescens, Alutaceodontia alutacea, and Tulasnella violea"were found in the Turkish mycobiota for the first time.

The genera Hypotarzetta Donadini, Pseudombrophila Boud., Pustularia Bonord., Pyronema Carus, Tricharina Eckblad (Pyronemataceae Corda), and Thecotheus Boud. (Ascobolaceae Boud. Ex Sacc.) are recorded from Turkey for the first time based on the collections of Hypotarzetta insignis (Berthet and Riousset) Donadini, Pseudombrophila merdaria (Fr.) Brumm., Pustularia patavina (Cooke and Sacc.) Boud., Pyronema omphalodes (Bull.: Fr.) Fuckel, Tricharina gilva (Boud. Ex Cooke) Eckblad, and Thecotheus pelletieri (P. Crouan and H. Crouan) Boud., respectively. Short descriptions and photographs of the taxa related to their macro- and micromorphologies are provided.

This study was conducted on specimens of macrofungi collected from Isparta Province between 2005 and 2008; in addition, Trichophaea woolhopeia (Cooke and W. Phillips) Boud. İs given as a new record from Muğla Province. After fieldwork and laboratory studies, 129 taxa belonging to 36 families and 2 divisions were identified from Isparta Province. Five of them, Cortinarius olidus J.E. Lange, Cystoderma jasonis (Cooke and Massee) Harmaja, Echinoderma echinaceum (J.E. Lange) Bon, Hebeloma gigaspermum Gröger and Zschiesch., and Psathyrella canoceps (Kauffman) A.H. Sm., are new records for Turkey.

Basidiomes of Alnicola subconspersa (Kühner ex P.D. Orton) Bon, Amanita pachyvolvata (Bon) Krieglst., Cortinarius azureus Fr., Cortinarius vernus H. Lindstr. And Melot, Melanogaster variegatus (Vittad.) Tul. And C. Tul., Paxillus ammoniavirescens Contu and Dessì, and Paxillus cuprinus P. Jargeat, H. Gryta, J.P. Chaumeton and A. In this study, an identification key of Poa L. species in Iran and descriptions of all species are presented. Based on the results, 19 species and 4 subspecies of Poa are known from Iran. Two species, P. longifolia Trin. and P. sterilis M.Bieb., are new records for the flora of Iran. Some taxa such as P. versicolor Besser. subsp. araratica (Trautv.) Tzvelev and P. bactriana Roshev. subsp. glabriflora (Roshev. ex Ovcz.) Tzvelev were placed as subspecies. Taxonomic Studies On Some Agaricoid And Boletoid Fungi Of Turkey, Ertuğrul Sesli̇, Marco Contu, Jordi Vila, Pierre-Arthur Moreau, Eliseo Battistin

Four alnicolous (Alnicola citrinella, A. suavis, Cortinarius alnetorum, and Gyrodon lividus), 2 cortinarioid (Cortinarius alnetorum and C. scutulatus), 3 entolomatoid (Entoloma conferendum, E. pallescens, and E. sordidulum), 1 hebelomatoid (Hebeloma aff. aestivale), and 2 clitocyboid (Clitocybe applanata and C. elegantula) fungi were collected, studied, illustrated, and first reported for the Turkish mycota from Trabzon. Cortinarius alnetorum was evaluated as both an alnicolous and cortinarioid species. Field trips were made in 2012 and 2013, and the microscopical studies were performed in January and February 2014. Identification of the collections was made according to morphological investigations and field characteristics.

In this study, an attempt has been made to determine macrofungal specimens collected from Kilis in 2006 and 2007. After field and laboratory studies, 47 taxa belonging to 17 families and 2 divisions were identified: 4 taxa belong to Ascomycota and 43 to Basidiomycota. Three of them, Inocybe taxocystis (J.Favre & E.Horak) Senn-Irlet, Russula laccata Huijsman, and Russula medullata Romagn., are new records for Turkey.

In this study, an attempt has been made to establish macrofungal specimens collected from Antalya between 2005 and 2009. After field and laboratory studies, 136 taxa belonging to 40 families and 2 divisions were identified. Twenty taxa belong to Ascomycota and 116 to Basidiomycota. Three of them, Cortinarius subferrugineus (Batsch) Fr., Entoloma vernum Lundell, and Inocybe piceae Stangl & Schwöbel, are new records for Turkey.

In this study, Mollisia ventosa P.Karst., Hymenoscyphus herbarum (Pers.) Dennis, H. immutabilis (Fuckel) Dennis, H. robustior (P.Karst.) Dennis, Ciboria amentacea (Balb.) Fuckel, and Peziza fimeti (Fuckel) E.C.Hansen have been recorded in Turkey for the first time. Comments on their morphological and anatomical features, geographical position, locality, collection date, and distribution and short descriptions and photographs related to macro- and micromorphologies of the taxa are provided.

Scotomyces subviolaceus (Peck) Jülich, Geoglossum lineare Hakelier, and Chlorencoelia versiformis (Pers.) J.R.Dixon were recorded for the first time in Turkey. The new taxa are described and illustrated. Scotomyces Jülich and Geoglossum Pers. are also new records at genus level.

Fungal specimens were collected in Trabzon Province in 2010 and 2012. Taxonomical studies were performed in our laboratory and in the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. According to the results, Entoloma noordeloosi Hauskn., Inocybe lutescens Velen., and Tricholoma saponaceum var. squamosum (Cooke) Rea are recorded for the first time for the Turkish Mycota. The new records are illustrated, briefly described, and discussed.

Three Remarkable New Moss Records For South-West Asia From Northern Turkey, Güray Uyar, Muhammet Ören

Grimmia anomala Schimp., Pohlia filum (Schimp.) Mårtensson, and Hookeria acutifolia Hook. & Grev. are noteworthy moss species reported here for the first time in South-West Asia from specimens collected in north-eastern and north-western Turkey. The diagnostic characters, habitat preferences, illustrations, and updated ranges of the treated species are given together with notes comparing them with those of related taxa.

Myxomycetes Of Mustafa Kemal University Campus And Environs (Turkey), Hayri̇ Baba

In this taxonomic study, myxomycetes of Tayfur Sökmen Campus (Hatay) were collected during 2010-2011. As a result of field and laboratory studies we reported 44 species of protosteliomycetes and myxomycetes. Three of these species (Diderma deplanatum Fr., Didymium megalosporum Berk & M.A.Curtis, and Lamproderma atrosporum Meyl.) are recorded for the first time from Turkey. Lamproderma atrosporum was treated with the moist chamber cultures method in the laboratory but Didymium megalosporum and Diderma deplanatum were determined naturally. The distribution, habitat, and collection numbers of the identified species are given.

Macrofungi Distribution Of Cocakdere Valley (Arslanköy, Mersin), Hasan Hüseyi̇n Doğan, Si̇nan Aktaş, Celaleddi̇n Öztürk, Giyasetti̇n Kaşik

The present study reports on species of macrofungi collected from 2002 to 2005 in Cocakdere valley in the central Taurus mountains. This area is protected and is one of the important plant areas in Turkey. In the field and during laboratory studies 186 taxa belonging 2 divisions and 44 families were identified. Among them, 6 families and 10 species belong to Ascomycota, and 38 families and 186 species belong to Basidiomycota. Moreover, 4 taxa-Cortinarius aureifolius, Inocybe hygrophorus, Ramaria suecica, and Scytinostroma portentosum -were found in the Turkish mycobiota for the first time.

Floristic Lichen Records From Kemaliye District (Erzincan) And Van Province, Yalçin Karagöz, Ali̇ Aslan

Numerous lichen specimens from 32 locations in Kemaliye District of Erzincan Province and 4 locations in Van Province were examined. In total 144 lichens, including 5 varieties, 2 subspecies and 4 forms, in 47 genera were identified. Acarospora lavicola J.Steiner, Adelolecia kolaensis (Nyl.) Hertel & Rambold, and Arthonia apotheciorum (A. Massal.) Almq. were found to be new for Turkey. All identified taxa, excluding the ones mentioned above, are new for Kemaliye and 101 taxa are new for Erzincan Province.

This study was conducted on the macrofungal specimens collected from Uşak in 2006^-2009. In field and laboratory studies, 100 taxa belonging to 30 families and 2 classes were identified. Ten taxa belong to Ascomycetes and 90 to Basidiomycetes. Seven of them, i.e. Pseudoplectania sphagnophila (Pers.) Kreisel, Conocybe pulchella (Velen.) Hauskn. & Svrcek, Entoloma politoflavipes Noordel. & Liiv, Entoloma saundersii (Fr.) Sacc., Entoloma serrulatum (Fr.) Hesler, Hygrophorus nemoreus (Pers.) Fr., and Rugosomyces ionides (Bull.) Bon, are new records for Turkey.
