The great need for fruits and vegetables in the diet makes it necessary to give the supply both as to kinds and quantity careful consideration. It takes careful forethought and planning to supply fruits and vegetables adequately for the winter table as well as for summer use. The consideration of this problem must begin with the planning of the garden so the minimum of two fresh vegetables a day during the summer and two canned or stored vegetables during the winter is provided for.
