Hadhramout University Journal of Natural & Applied Sciences

This study was conducted at some farmers of date Palm (phoenix dactylifera L.) of Hajar valley areas . This valley is characterized by the growing date palm trees, which in turn contributes to food security in Hadhramout, and creates jobs to as many agricultural workers as possible, in addition to the importance of palm cultivation in community development. Field visits continued for 10 months during the agricultural season from November 2016 to August 2017. The results showed that the Scotri dates is considered the dominant cultivar, and it is propagated using offshoots only. The measurements of the phenotypic characteristics fall …
