African lion (Panthera leo) being most attractive but vulnerable exhibit of zoos and safaris; need particular attention to breeding plans. At captive sites, lioness neglects newborns commonly; at that stage, hand rearing is preferred. This study will highlight the best practices for hand-rearing lion cubs, including knowledge of early medical issues along with their treatment during the first 4 months of growth. 34 lions (08Male: 17Females: 9Cubs) were housed on 15 acres during 2019-21 at Safari Zoo Lahore. The goal of this research is to highlight food additives in the formulations of food supplements consumed by cancer patients. It is a survey conducted at the Cancer treatment center in Annaba to collect a list of food supplements used by these patients. Following a screening of their ingredients for incorporated food additives, which we then classified according to the degree of toxicity, these supplements were classified according to their origin (local or imported). Our findings show that these various groups of dietary supplements contain a variety of food additives with varying degrees of toxicity, such as colorants (E422), acidity …

Aim of this comprehensive review is to document the up-dated data about pharmaceutical potential of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni with special focus on its antioxidant activity. A total of 184 research articles were reviewed and five research engines were used to collect the data. The S. rebaudiana (Asteraceae) is indigenous to South America, now cultivated in many countries worldwide to be used as a natural bio-sweetener. Various nutritionally and medically important bioactive compounds such as diterpene glycosides, fatty acids, alkaloids, tannins, saponins, anthraquinones, phenolics, flavonoids, carbohydrates, carotenoids, steroids, polysaccharides and other phytochemicals constitute chemical composition of Stevia. Consumption of drinks remains a controversial issue for public health. For more than 50 years, potential adverse reactions to additives have been suggested, but data to date are conflicting. The purpose of this article is to provide an approach to the health threat by inventorying the food additives used in 304 local and imported drinks sold in the Algerian market and classifying them according to their toxicity. In second time, survey population destinated to 1200 subjects to evaluate their drink consumption and health problems. Sandfish is highly consumed in South-East of Algeria for its gustative and nutritional qualities. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of drying methods on fatty acids and amino acids sandfish quality. Biochemical analyzes were performed using the analytical methods adopted by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) method. The fatty acid composition was evaluated using the gas chromatography and the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was used for the amino acids analysis. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs) stimulate plant growth through their ability, to increasing the root length and growth, by asymbiotic nitrogen fixation, by producing siderophores, solubilization of mineral phosphates and mineralization of other nutrients. Organic waste material of fruits and vegetables was collected and composted in a locally fabricated composting unit. A pot trial was conducted to study the effectiveness of compost and PGPR (Variovorax paradoxus) with recommended rate of PK and with different rates of N fertilizer i.e. 50 %, 75 % and 100 %, on growth and yield of sunflower.
