The Croton bug, or German Roach as it is commonly called, has been widely known for centuries. In the past, a considerable amount of work was done in attempting to find methods of controlling this insect, but relatively little attention was given to a study of its morphology, time of development, or to the finer details of the life history. this lack of information is probably due, in part to the fact that there are several similar common species of roaches and also because the Croton bug has probably received less attention than the other roaches, at least from a …
