Pemberian Makanan Bayi dan Anak (PMBA) yang optimal akan meningkatkan kesempatan hidup dan pertumbuhan anak; juga daya tangkap untuk menguasai keterampilan serta pengetahuan yang mereka perlukan sebelum memulai pendidikan di tahun-tahun awal sekolah. Tidak hanya bagi bayi dan anak, pemenuhan gizi yang baik juga amat penting bagi ibu hamil dan menyusui. The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) undertook this study for the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS). It explores the practice and application of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in STEM, with a particular focus on natural and physical sciences, information technology, and agriculture departments in Australian universities. The project involved a detailed ‘stocktake’ of WIL in practice in these disciplines, with collection of information by interview, survey instruments, consultation with stakeholders and literature reviews. Primary Industry plays a vital role in Australian’s economy and society, but the gap between rural and urban communities is growing, contributing to a lack of understanding of where food and other basic necessities of life come from. The goal of the Primary Industries Education Foundation (PIEF) is to provide a source of information on primary industries for educators, to better equip students with not only knowledge about what goes into their food and fibres but also what career opportunities exist in primary industries.
