Foliar Application Of Graphene Oxide, Nano-Fe, And Selenium Mitigates Salinity Depression On Ocimum Basilicum, Lamia Vojodi Mehrabani, Mohammad Bagher Hassanpouraghdam, Farzad Rasouli, Zühal Okcu, Romina Alina Marc

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of salinity stress and foliar applications of graphene oxide, nano-Fe, and selenium on basil’s growth and physiological responses. The results revealed that the treatments affected plant dry weight, essential oil, and malondialdehyde content, relative water content as well as hydrogen peroxide, proline, sodium, iron, and phosphorus content, and sodium to potassium ratio. The highest plant dry weight and essential oil content were recorded under no-salinity and 50 mM salinity × iron nanoparticle foliar use, while 100 mM salinity stress with no foliar spraying increased the levels of malondialdehyde, sodium content, and sodium-to-potassium …

Effects Of Chlorine, Hydrogen Peroxide, And Ozone On The Reduction Of Mancozeb Residues On Tomatoes, Mehmet Fati̇h Cengi̇z, Muharrem Certel Jan 2014

Effects Of Chlorine, Hydrogen Peroxide, And Ozone On The Reduction Of Mancozeb Residues On Tomatoes, Mehmet Fati̇h Cengi̇z, Muharrem Certel

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

In this study, the effects of widely used oxidizers (chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, and ozone) on the reduction of mancozeb residues on tomatoes were investigated. Mature tomato samples grown in a greenhouse were treated with mancozeb and collected at different time intervals. Mancozeb residue levels in the samples were determined for each interval using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method. A group of the samples with a residue level of approximately 3 mg kg^{-1} was selected for dipping solutions experiments. Selected samples were dipped into the chlorine (10 and 100 mg L^{-1}), hydrogen peroxide (10 and 100 mg L^{-1}), and ozone (1 …

The Effects Of Chemicals For Using The Bleaching Of The Wood Surfaces On The Layer Hardness Of Varnish, Burhanetti̇n Uysal, Musa Atar, Ayhan Özçi̇fçi̇ Jan 1999

The Effects Of Chemicals For Using The Bleaching Of The Wood Surfaces On The Layer Hardness Of Varnish, Burhanetti̇n Uysal, Musa Atar, Ayhan Özçi̇fçi̇

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

The objective of this research was to determine the effects of sodium hydroxide + hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydroxide + calcium hydroxide + hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid applied on the scotch pine ( Pinus sylvestris L), oriental beech ( Fagus orientalis Lipsky), ash wood ( Froxinus excelsior L.) and oak ( Quercus petraea Mattu Liebl.) on the layer hardness of acrylic, synthetic, polyurethane and acid catalyzed varnish. Results indicated that in the natural varnishing effects of wood species on the layer hardness of varnish are unimportant but the effects of varnish types are important. In the varnishing, after bleaching …

A Comparative Study Of Hydrogen Peroxide In Treating Milk For Cheddar Cheese Making, Mounir Ramzi Nagmoush May 1949

A Comparative Study Of Hydrogen Peroxide In Treating Milk For Cheddar Cheese Making, Mounir Ramzi Nagmoush

All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023

In many countries of the world and in some parts of the United States milk is produced which has a high bacterial contamination. Such milk of undesirable quality is frequently delivered to factories engaged in the manufacture of cheddar cheese. This milk commonly contains large numbers of lactic acid-producing bacteria or other types of microorganisms which cause objectionable flavors and textural defects in the cheese. The improvement of the quality of milk supply under some conditions is a matter of great difficulty so that the manufacture of inferior quality milk into cheese is a problem often encountered.

In the United …
