Evidence Supporting The Value Of Surgical Procedures: Can We Do Better?, Christopher Robertson, Jonathan Darrow, Willard S. Kasoff

There is an acknowledged need for higher-quality evidence to quantify the benefit of surgical procedures, yet not enough has been done to improve the evidence base. This lack of evidence can prevent fully informed decision-making, lead to unnecessary or even harmful treatment, and contribute to wasteful expenditures of scare health care resources. Barriers to evidence generation include not only the long-recognized technical difficulties and ethical challenges of conducting randomized surgical trials, but also legal challenges that limit incentives to conduct surgical research as well as market-based challenges that make it difficult for those funding surgical research to recoup investment costs. …

The three major stories of 2020 — the COVID-19 pandemic, the heightened awareness of racial injustice and the election — have made this year one that we will remember. While we couldn’t have envisioned all that would happen at the beginning of the year, our faculty are producing useful and thought-provoking scholarship on all these topics.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to identify the news literacy skills of law students, their ability to encounter fake news, as well as their news sharing behavior.

Research Methodology: A survey was conducted in two public sector universities of South Punjab i.e. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Bahauddin Zakariya University of Multan. The population of the study comprised of undergraduate law students of the participating universities. The three-part questionnaire was used to collect the data on demographic information, perceived news literacy skills, and news sharing behavior. Golden Gate University School Of Law Launches Jd Flex Program: A Weekend Hybrid Jd Program With In-Demand Career Tracks, Golden Gate University School Of Law

GGU Law is thrilled to expand its long-standing mission of inclusion and access to the legal profession with its new JD Flex program. Starting in fall 2021, JD Flex will offer an innovative alternative to GGU Law's continuing full-time residential program in San Francisco.

Blending online coursework and eight on-campus weekend sessions per semester, with summers completely online, this flexible program provides a path to an ABA-approved J.D. degree in less than four years. Students also have the option of customizing their J.D. degree with one of two focused career tracks.
