On both sides of the Atlantic, the European Commission as well as the US Federal Trade Commission, have been investigating various business practices of Google. In addition, Google has also drawn the attention of several National Competition Authorities across Europe. This is the first time that Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) has been applied to a search engine.
