This report from the United States (US) House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs, dated August 14, 1974, was written to accompany US House Resolution 13157 which proposed to establish six new historic sites in the United States, all to be classified under the National Park System, including the Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site in North Dakota.
