This Article is a critical review of the US Supreme Court’s response to the question of the degree of deference that the domestic courts of the United States should give to a ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The ICJ ruled that United States was not in compliance with its obligations under the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR).
