This article will discuss the state regulation of midstream natural gas gathering companies in Texas and Oklahoma. For purposes of this article, a midstream natural gas gathering company is a person or legal entity that owns or operates a pipeline system or systems to receive natural gas at or near the wellhead or a central receipt point in a field and deliver the natural gas to a downstream delivery point that is not an end use customer.
