There are many different ways and settings in which the curriculum can be developed to provide clinical legal education to students at university level within the UK. The main thesis of this paper is that the teaching of law should take a different approach to that of the current law degree. Students should be equipped with the various knowledge and competences that make them suitable to appreciate not only the theory of law but the interactions between law and society.
