In accordance with our legislative mandate, we have adopted a new energy policy for California. The policy, described in the California Energy Plan, is one which we believe will stabilize energy prices and directly contribute to the state's future economic growth. By following its recommendations for a balanced development of California's many energy resources and energy efficiency opportunities, a least-cost energy path can be provided for our citizens and businesses into the next century.
