Since January 2014, nationwide law enforcement operations have been conducted targeting drug trafficking organizations operating in communities across the country. The Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”), Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”), Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI”), Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”), with other federal, state, and local partners announced the culmination of Project Synergy Phase II, an ongoing law enforcement operation targeting every level of the global synthetic designer drug market.
