Land is a crucial component of development. This is more so in a place like Lagos State, Nigeria's economic capital, where there is a far greater demand for the asset than nature bestows. The State has for decades endured a damaging form of criminality widely known as land grabbing. This menace manifests itself in various ways, some of which are outlined in this article.
